What We Offer
Our Services
Specialist arboricultural surveys and reports across the full range of tree management needs. Based in Hampshire, operating UK-wide.
Service
Tree Safety Inspections
Systematic visual assessments that identify hazards, structural defects, and risks across your tree stock.
A tree safety inspection gives you a clear picture of the health and structural integrity of trees on your land. We carry out systematic visual assessments, working from ground level to canopy, looking for signs of disease, decay, damage, and structural weakness.
Each inspection produces a clear, prioritised report that tells you exactly which trees need attention, what work is recommended, and how urgently. This gives you the evidence base you need to manage your trees responsibly and protect your liability.
Service
Tree Condition Inspections
Detailed assessments of individual trees or small groups where a more thorough investigation is needed.
Where a standard safety inspection highlights a concern, or where you have a specific tree you need to understand better, a condition inspection provides more detailed analysis. This may include assessment of crown condition, root zone health, and structural integrity.
Condition inspections are often carried out in advance of construction work, following storm damage, or as part of an ongoing management programme.
Service
Tree Risk Assessment Surveys
Structured risk evaluations providing clear, defensible documentation for insurance and liability purposes.
A tree risk assessment goes beyond identifying defects — it evaluates the likelihood of failure and the consequences if failure occurs. This structured approach produces a risk rating for each tree and clear management recommendations.
Our assessments follow recognised industry methodologies and produce reports that are suitable for insurers, legal proceedings, and due diligence purposes. They give you a documented audit trail showing you have taken reasonable steps to manage tree risk.
Service
BS5837 Tree Surveys
Surveys in accordance with British Standard 5837, required for most planning applications involving trees.
BS5837:2012 is the British Standard that governs how trees should be considered in relation to design, demolition, and construction. Most planning authorities require a BS5837 survey as part of any planning application where trees are present on or adjacent to the development site.
Our surveys produce a full tree schedule, root protection area plans, and a Tree Constraints Plan (TCP). Where trees will be affected by proposed works, we also prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS) — the documents that show the planning authority exactly how trees will be protected during construction.
Service
Tree Planting Schemes
Species selection, placement plans, and specifications for new planting that will thrive long-term.
Planting the right tree in the right place is a long-term investment. We advise on species selection, planting positions, and ground preparation to give new trees the best possible start and ensure they will remain an asset rather than a future liability.
Planting schemes can be prepared for planning conditions, biodiversity net gain, amenity improvements, or private landowner projects. We provide full specifications suitable for contractors to price and carry out.
Service
Tree Planning Advice
Pre-application and post-consent guidance to navigate the planning process with confidence.
Trees and planning intersect in many ways — from Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and Conservation Area requirements, to biodiversity net gain and Section 211 notices. Understanding the rules before you start can save significant time and cost.
We provide plain-language advice on what permissions are needed, what surveys will be required, and how to present your case to the local planning authority. We can also advise on works to protected trees and help you prepare the necessary notifications.
Service
Boundary Tree Disputes
Independent expert reports to cut through the complexity of neighbour and legal disputes involving trees.
Disputes involving trees — whether over overhanging branches, root damage, light obstruction, or ownership — can quickly become complex and contentious. An independent expert report from a qualified arboriculturalist can provide the clear, objective evidence that resolves or settles these matters.
We prepare reports suitable for use in mediation, legal proceedings, and insurance claims, offering an honest assessment of the facts and a clear professional opinion.
